Published in 1987, the first edition of Little League Drills and Strategies has sold more than 58,000 copies to date. It has found a following among little league managers and coaches because it's built around three simple elements required for Little League success: drilling the basics, the keep it simple/make it fun philosophy, and practice, practice, practice. Written by a father/coach for other parent/coaches, it covers hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running fundamentals and easily implemental practice drills. Also includes suggestions for dealing with umpires, overbearing parents, fund-raising, and how to ensure good communication between the team and parents. What's also helpful to Little League managers are ways to keep practices interesting and informative and special troubleshooting info to correct fundamental flaws in players' technique.
