I really enjoyed Sherman's take on the 1996 Yankees. I grew up watching the Yankees in the 80's and 1996 was the first year for me to watch them win it all. 13 years later, it was refreshing to re-live memories of the Yankees season. Birth of a Dynasty offers inside perspective that few could

I especially liked how Sherman's time line of events. Each time a significant moment of the season occurred, Sherman reminded the readers of an event that was occurring in the news at the time. I kept thinking, "How could that have been 13 years ago? It seems like just yesterday."

All in all, a great book! I enjoyed David Cone's foreword as well. I highly recommend it for any fan of the 1996 New York Yankees.
