Overly dramatic! There are some real facts about many species of sharks, but there is quite a bit of editorial emphasis on the predator, dangerous, man-eater aspect. It must be aimed at kids (boys?) who don't like to read much, and are attracted by somewhat violent, scary "facts". Naden plays up

the man-eater aspects shamelessly and includes dramatic images of shark's mouths, clouds of blood in the water, and a story of a diver in a cage who is at risk from a white shark, but is not harmed. Grade 2 or 3 reading level. Not what I wanted for kindergarten readers.
