the sender and the intended recipient of the postcard, these two people connect with each other and a much older one. The story has an interesting plot, but there is hardly any development of the characters and tale drifts toward the conclusion without any real ending.

A friend (MH) sent me this book in a box of books. It's different than most Amish Fiction I've read in that the two main characters aren't in love by the end of this book. There is a bit of romance (from the past) in the form of one of Rachel Yoder's ancestors (Gabriel Esh) and Adele Herr. The

postcard from the title ties in to that.
