"Rose is Rose" is a refreshing comic strip in a world of put-down, insult-humor. The strip focuses on Rose and Jimbo Gumbo, their son Pasquale, and the cat, Peekaboo. Rose is a loving wife and mother, though she sometimes find she needs her alter-ego, Vicki the Biker Chick, to help her with those

problems requiring a fearless and highly-opinionated personality (Vicki has a habit of riding her Harley into the unknown, speaking up when Rose is shy, and cooking rattlesnake chili). Jimbo writes love notes and hides them for his wife, is his son's hero, and fights the cat for his favorite chair; he's the dad we all wish we had. Pasquale is an imaginative boy who adores school and is protected at all times by his guardian angel (who usually appears identical to Pasquale, but with wings, a halo, and wearing a heavenly robe - but can morph into a skyscraper-tall warrior with sword and shield if needed). Pasquale's daily life includes battles with the drain-monster (who yearns to munch kiddie-toes), Play-Doh modeling, and nightly travels in his dreamship. Peekaboo is the cat's meow, and is every cat you've ever known personified. There's also spoiled cousin Clem, the local neighbors, a Let-It-Be Tree, Pasquale's Echo, Peekaboo's animal friends, Jimbo's zen garbage moments, garlic breath, and Meemaw (grandma)! A guaranteed mood-enhancer.
