This book can be fun in the classroom. Letting children know that nobody is too old to enjoy their birthday even if they say they are. Mr. Putter is suprized with a cake for his birthday and he really enjoys it.

I just love this series. Anytime grownups, especially older grownups without children around, are the main characters in a book for children, I get a silly grin on my face. I also think it's good for kids to see that life for others exists without them.
