I don't know why I thought this was a YA novel. Note: IT IS NOT YA. Just in case you were confused, too.

I don't know how I feel about this book. It was fine, I guess. We never find out why Zebulon keeps "living." Perhaps that come in Volume 2. In this volume, Zebulon experiences a lot of the "high"

points of the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Despite all of these experiences, he still very often does things that make it appear that he hasn't grown psychologically past the 17-year-old he was when he died. I'm assuming that was a deliberate choice by the author, but I don't understand it. You'd think he'd have matured at some point in all of his years.
