The wedding storyline was a little silly, but man I still love Carol Danvers.

Even not having read previous arcs, this was a very fun read. Literally. I've missed books with a sense of humor that's part of a character instead of the point of the book.

Frivolous, fluffy, superhero fun. Three giddy story arcs. #1 -- Chewie (Carol's cat) really is a flerkin and finally lays her eggs. #2 -- Carol & Tic meet a galaxy-crossing teleporting super-pop star who sort of accidentally is betrothed to a prince on some backward sort-of-reverse sexist planet,
Show More
and #3 -- Carol shows up in NYC just in time for a Christmas-themed showdown with her self-appointed nemesis, Grace, with a side story of Spider-Woman having to confront her fear of vermin.

The verging on excessive lightness of the whole collection plus some super vague and questionable hand-waving in the Santa bit are all forgivable because a) Spider-Woman, b) Chewie bonding with Rocket. So, some weaknesses along the way, but enough fun to compensate.

Stay Fly is the second volume in Kelly Sue DeConnick's run of Captain Marvel, and it is a gloriously silly book made up of three nearly ridiculous stories that are, at best, only loosely connected to one another.

Started out silly with cats but finished strong. It was great seeing CD's feeling empowered even in her absence.

Silly, funny, entertaining. Doesn't require an extensive knowledge of comics to enjoy. Perfect.

I love Captain Marvel. This was a fun volume to read about her cat Chewie. I love the shenanigans of Rocket and how those two react to each other. I laughed at a few parts and this was a fun read. I love seeing all of Chewie's children, so cute.

If you want to read something that's not too serious,

this one is for you.

Ugh. Dang it! This totally lost the momentum from the first trade. The first two issues with the whole Rocket/Flerken thing got me laughing, but it took a nosedive after that. Fingers crossed for the next trade?

A decent amount of fun, here. But it also seemed like several non-sequiturs knit together.
