I love mood rings. I remember when I would go to the store and hold it for a few seconds (just like Judy) and see what the mood was. After a few attempt, I gave up and did not really believe it anymore. This really brings me back to my childhood.

Judy Moody find and uses a mood ring to predict her future and the future of others around her. In the end, she learned that she shouldn't rely on a ring to tell her what will happen. She learns that she has a role in predicting her own future.

This is a delightful book! I know I would have loved these books when I was a girl. One of the most fun things about the book is all of the similes Ms. McDonald uses. After sleeping the night on her dictionary, "when Judy woke up the next morning, her neck was so stiff she felt like a crookneck squash. Her similes are very humorous! This would be a good book to read with young girls with autism. It would be nice to use to study the characters mood and to try to figure out her figurative language.
