Written in tribute to Isaac Asimov, this anthology contains seventeen stories from as many authors and a small number of articles from an equally distinguished number of authors including one by Asimov looking back on the fifty years of his writing life to that point.

follow on from any of Asimov's stories though they are generally set in one of Asimov's fictional universes, the major exception being Frederik Pohl's 'The Mile High Club' which is set in an alternate history where Dr Asimov had been part of the team developing a biobomb to use on the Japanese, rather than the atomic bomb in our own time line. This has Fred Pohl being the science fiction writer and Asimov wondering whether he could have made it as a writer and is a nice piece in that Pohl really was a colleague of Asimov while growing up.

This collection also contains my two favourite Foundation novella; Harry Turtledove's 'Trantor Falls' and Orson Scott Card's 'The Originist', both dealing with formative periods of the Second Foundation.
