Personal Response: This was the first graphic novel I have ever read so it was a new experience for me. Personally, I liked this more than I thought I would. It is a relatable story for children. I also love the color pink so I enjoyed the pink and black illustrations.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. The class could go on a walk to recognize familiar landmarks and make a map like Babymouse did.
2. The students could make a comic using one color like they did in this book. The teacher could tell the importance of color in a book.
