friend it is possible to have, from children and animals, to brooks and trees - sweet, I wasn't particularly moved by it. I wonder if I would have felt differently, had I first encountered it as a child myself? In any case, I do think it would make a reassuring tale for young children who have just moved, or who are having trouble making friends, and I thought the illustrations were darling.
