Eugene's parents go out of town, so he's stuck with his uncle for the summer. When his uncle takes Eugene along on his business trip, Eugene meets a monster-hunting professor and gets a job as his assistant. Their quarry? The monster of Lake Michigan, Yobgorgle! My only complaint with this book,

which is so much goofier and funnier than you can tell from my review, is that the cover on my copy gives the whole mystery of Yobgorgle away! But if you could wrap the book in a plain black cover, you'd really enjoy the book.CMB

Goofy and fun. Wish I'd read it as a kid.
