My name is Lou, and I am a librarian and I rescue Siberian huskies, so this book must have been meant for me. Daniel Pinkwater is a great writer. This is a charming book, and I highly recommend it.

A typical Pinkwater picture book, which is to say, it's wonderful! Aunt Lulu is a librarian in Alaska who brings books to miners' diggings until she decides that she wants to go home to New Jersey, specifically, Parsippany. I used to live nearby in New Brunswick; and Mr. Pinkwater lived in Hoboken.

Larry, a Pinkwater polar bear, lives in Bayonne.

I love his surprises: Lulu likes the miners, but thinks they are boring. One of the stores in New Jersey is Ferret World.

grateful to her for traveling such a long way to bring them books, that they decided to go and say good bye to her and bring her a present. She then actually moves to New Jersey. In a very comical ending, the huskies end up wearing pink sunglasses. This book was so adroable. i loved the goofy pictures of the huskies in their sunglasses.
