This collection of Margaret Maron's short stories may be difficult to find (I had to go to the second level of interlibrary loan to get it as it was a fairly limited edition), but it's well worth tracking down. Fans of the author's series books will be pleased to find some stories about Judge

 Deborah Knott and Deputy Dwight Bryant, as well as one with a character from her Sigrid Harald books. In addition, there are other stories of various kinds which show that Maron is a mistress of the craft of short-story writing as well as that of novel-writing. Highly recommended.
