The book is about a boy getting lice in his hair and the things he has to go through in order to get rid of them. It is hilariously written.

This book will make you laugh as David Shannon shows the funny side of the war on head lice. This book will help open lines of communication with children and parents. It shows that lice don't discriminate, they will lay eggs in anybody's hair.

It teaches kids about the facts of lice. Even though the book looks like entertainment, it is very close to the truth.

Dedicated to "all the moms everywhere and their battle-tested anti-lice weapons".

Zany, fun, over-the-top, and pure David Shannon.

I imagine it will fly off the shelves when the school nurses aren't hoarding it!

I think this book is amazing! I think the illistrations do a really great job of showing lice in a non discusting way. I think this is a great resource for explaining to children what lice are so it isn't a scary situation.

I like this story because it is a fun way for the students to learn about and how to prevent head lice. One aspect of the story that I liked was the animations that the head lice did. For example, on the page with "LICE-A-PALOOZA" the lice were playing country like instruments and dancing like they

were having a party on the person's head. Another aspect that I liked was that the author included facts about how to prevent from getting head lice. One thing that I learned from this book was that you could put mayonnaise on your head to cure lice. Before this story I had no idea that you could do that.

Bugs in my hair is a fiction book that follows a young boy who gets lice and his journey to get rid of it.

Bugs in my hair is the perfect fiction book when it comes to helping children understand the meaning of head lice. The mom discovered that her son had head lice. The poor boy did not understand why, what, and how the bugs could of gotten in his hair. Bugs in my hair, tells the story of the journey

of a boy who got head lice and how he got rid of it. As small as an actual size of a louse is, to the boy it felt larger and noticeable. While reading this book I started to scratch my head because I thought I felt something crawling but like the book states that it was in my head. The book goes on and share different cures to help get rid of head lice. Head lice are really hard to get rid of and this book gives a fun and positive side of conquering lice. I personally like this book because its a adventure that is telling a story of the battle of bugs in a boys hair and you learn about lice and how to prevent it.

This book travels through a young boy's experience with head lice. Initially he is very ashamed that he has lice and at first denies that he even has it. Then, the boy wonders how he got head lice. Later him and his mom figure out the solution to getting rid of head lice. This book also addresses

the head lice coming back and them getting rid of it again. Overall this book is a great tool to help students not feel ashamed if they have lice. It is a classic and humorous book that invites readers on a journey of getting the bugs out of their head. Bugs In My Hair falls under the comedy/humor genre.

This book is about a boy who gets head lice! Soon, his head lice takes over his life. He feels very self conscious at school and just wants for the lice to leave! He hears about different treatments- formulas, shaving your hair, mayonnaise (yuck!). The boy goes through treatment and then, the

headline is gone! But, then it comes back! He becomes much more defensive of his head and makes SURE he will never get headline again!

This is a very interesting book about having head bugs. It brings up a topic that many people don't want to talk about and brings humor to it. I think this would be a good book to read to students to remind them that this sort of thing happens to everyone.

Lice are unfortunately something most kids end up getting and getting rid of them is not easy. I lived in the tropics when I had lice. My moms cure was a perm. Most of the boys in my class got crew cuts. This funny book looks at one kid, his lice problem, what was done, etc. I love how it explains

terms, and even where some modern slang comes from. If lice is a thing in your school, then this book is a must have.
