Description
McClellan's early 1864 report in a facsimile reprint of the original edition and containing the texts of hundreds of letters, reports, and other documents as well as McClellan's defense against the criticism he had endured for his reluctance to move his army offensively until pushed to do so by Lincoln, Stanton, Halleck, and others. Many of the documents attest to McClellan's difficulties in obtaining sufficient men and materiel and contain his defenses for his actions. Includes three original maps. 2006: 465 pages. Softcover.
