Description

The Cape York cattle stations were the heartland of small, family enterprises and were therefore very different from the vast stations in the Gulf and the NT owned by big companies and absentee landlords. Lennie lived her childhood in the small country township of Qld and her adulthood on the Peninsula. In the years after WWII Lennie and her fellow cattle-breeders around Laura and Coen bounced over the primitive bush tracks in US Army surplus jeeps and blitztrucks.
