compelling. It's good waiting room material. Reading a straightforward biography of Rose Wilder Lane might be quicker than reading through this series, but I think this way is a lot more fun.

This series by MacBride really is better than the pre-Laura series. More intense, more heartfelt, richer. Not quite enough to give it another star, mainly because now that I've read all that I own I don't feel the need to seek out more.
