The facts in this book really are strange and fascinating. If you like numbers and names this is the book for you. It isn't the easiest book to navigate but if you're willing to just sit and read facts and figures you'll love this book.

I've read this book cover to cover, and I love it! It's laden with trivia and a whole lot of stories long forgotton by mainstream textbooks. It's highly reccomended for all you history nerds and Confederacy fans out there.

This is an easy read with loosely organized chapters. He hits all the highlights and a few things I didn't know. Sort of the Ripley's Believe It or Not approach with the most interesting tidbits.

An outline of the war, with a number of colourful anecdotes stemming from it. Light-hearted fun, considering the subject matter.
