Once again, Thomas Berger brings a satiric and irreverent perspective to the human experience, evoking a world that most dare not even imagine and effectively dismantling all existing definitions of sex and gender.
User reviews
LibraryThing member tzelman
Odd gender-consciousness role reversal--where men are frequent objects of sexual harassment, sexual intercourse is forbidden, and procreation takes place by artificial insemination. Semen is harvested by something resembling artificial milking machines. The novel ends in Maine/Eden.

Very dated dystopia.
