This was an okay book... I really enjoyed the subplot about Monarch the wild stag (male deer), maybe more then the pony-storyline. It was just... too fast. I know this is a kid's series and stuff, but even for Animal Ark it went too fast. Once Mandy figured out what it was

that was making the pony spook, they cured her of it in like two days! And the way they did it, I personally would've reported them for animal abuse. That poor pony, having things flapped at her *all the freaking time*... Yes, in order to cure a pony/horse of something like that, you should get them used to the thing spooking them, but not by forcing them to endure it 24/7! That's just cruel. Show Less
