this book was the page on tarot cards, palm readings, ouija board and different forms of fortune telling. I would not recommend this particular Amelia book to any of my students because of that page. It would be a great project to have students work on a journal like Amelias. Amelia's journal has various pictures drawn in it and different things taped in it. Its very similar to a scrapbook. I think students would enjoy it. This book is probably for grades 4-6.

funniest part was when the author wrote about the mule wearing diapers! If it became a law, then the mule poop wouldn’t be found on the ground. Imagine Canada geese wearing diapers too, since too much geese dung was found on our school property. Yuck!

This book reminds me of another book called Amelia’s notebook of Passing Notes by the same author. They both talked about funny stuff. One talked about a bully named Maxime, another talked about how a boring car trip could turn into something hilarious. However, they both contain a sense of humour that would make you happy even when you’re sad.

I recommend this book to kids under 11 or kids who like humour or like to laugh. With pictures, they would surely understand what the author is talking is about. It also relates to how a big sister/brother would normally act to their younger ones. So, I rated this book 5/5 stars for its humour.

A notebook journal of a young girl on a road trip to see her very best friend. She stops at numerous landmarks and attractions and logs detailed entries about her experience. I truly feel that this will be a fun book to have in the classroom and will definitely spark interest in young girls reading!

I did not care too much for this book. Its alot of wording throughout the book which distracts you from the actual text. Its about Amelia going on a road trip to visit a friend Nadia along the way she sees the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Death Valley.

I remember this being a lot more charming when I read it as a kid. Maybe it's just that it's almost too realistic--the kids who are so mean to each other and almost never get along take up most of the written space. A theme of the book is time and change. But there isn't really any on display for

the characters, which is realisticfor a week-long trip but kind of dull to read. I also don't remember being so bored on my own big long road trips; we were well-supplied with books, notebooks to draw and color in, and clay to sculpt using the notebooks as a table in our laps. Still, the pictures are fun and this is a great example for kids who might want to make their own notebooks. I do have find memories of these books when I was the age of the target demographic.
